Hi guys,
As of now hp(services) is a non dream(2nd slot). The main intention here is that the job should not get waste i.e. a student(usually 70+) who gets into hp services will obviously write a dream company and may get into it, so a job at hp(services) will go waste. Besides opportunities for a 60+ student is very less compared to 70+.
HP GDAS allows 60+
HP STSD allows 70+
HP STSD is a dream
HP GDAS is currently a SECOND SLOT

AKHILESH CSE-Ive already told my views..and it is true that 60+ students have less opportunities compared to 70+ students..n ofcourse competition will get reduced for the companies coming in future...
Plz be free to express ur views..
If Hp(GDAS) is made slot2, definitely that job goes waste as u say... Those who get into this will surely try for dream...
Making Hp(GDAS) a mass is a better option i feel..

by the way things are going right now,very few people in the 60+ range will be given eligibility to write for companies...the no.of opportunities for them has been reduced....when that's the case,people who get recruited should not give up this job-thats only possible if it is mass,as per the current placement policy.

let every one get placed first instead of giving 2nd job option..........
it makes no sense to say if u make it a mass option everybody will get placed.companies take ppl based on their caliber. if they dont find appropriate ppl i dont think they will take.sowhy not give the ppl whom companies take a second chance
If it made as mass then i dont think it will be much helpful to 60+ students.
some competitions may be reduced but at the same time college placements may also reduced..
that is the perfect example of tcs and other mass companies.
in other colleges they took atleast more than 50 people.ultimately in my opinion The companies will searh for more number of talented people.
also another thing is more 70+ people may write for hp(STSD).so only few 70 % people write for hp(GDAS).So at any cost it should be made as 2nd slot.
Once the policy is made,it shold not be changed.atleast it should be fixed for 1 or 2 months.but our college policy is changing every day.this is very bad.
It is quite obvious that HP services as a mass recruiting company will be of greater advantage to the 60+ students than it would be for the 70+ having it as a 2nd slot company;
@Anonymous-So what if the total "number" of placements is less for the college? The greater number of placements is sn eyewash as a lot of those jobs go waste in the end as they take another job..
TCS is different..plz dont compare... their requirements were over before coming to NIE n more over studs who did very good in tech round were not selected... n since hp gdas is a service based company i think they need ppl who stay in the comp.. n more over i think if we tell about our policy(if hp gdas becomes mass) n convince them that studs who gets selected WILL NOT have a 2nd job option n they will join HP for sure, then there r chances that they MIGHT take in good numbers(im not giving any gurantee ) :)
I don't think the policy is changing everyday. The idea is to categorize the company on the lines of the existing policy itself.
Ya-SNEEZING WIZARD-whoever it is---ur right... the policy is not changed.. even now if u get placed in 2nd slot comp u can writ a dream....Selected studs for tesco can write dream comps.

If u consider current placements & happenings even who have got more than 70 are not able to write for some of the companies (Eg : Cisco ) .Considering the fact that most of our classmates/collegemates are in the border of 70 , 65 & 60 ..The number of people getting placed has been reduced drastically & once 6th results gets announced , there will be an exponential decrease in the number .As Akilesh has explained the consequences of making HP(GDAS) as 2nd slot , i dont have much to say abt it..I totally agree with Akilesh .
HP (GDSA ) should be given mass status !

I think its better to make hp(services) as MASS.If its a 2nd slot then a student having 70+ can get selected here and wil rite for dream.Suppose if he get the dream,then he wil reject this hp.So a job is wasted..
hence my opinion is: hp(services)=MASS.

i dono y no one is understood the advantage of makin it a mass company,,,,,it ifs made a mass company many ppl with 70+ agree will not write it cos they want a second job advantage,,,,even if its made a second slot company ppl with 70+ agree who (if by any chance)get placed also will almost certainly not go for that job,,,atleast ppl with less agree if given a chance now will get placed
I think making HP as a Mass is better option bcoz it's quite obvious that students having an aggre close to 70 just missing their 70 aggre by 1 or 2 percent he/she won't be regarded as 70 aggregate student and also it doesn't mean that since they are missing their aggre by just 1 or 2 percent they r not having that talent and knowledge about the technical which 70% aggre student has.So it's quite clear that HP should be made as a Mass company so that they can get into any of Mass,and also v had very less options this year for mass companies that too TCS taking only and only 9 from our college,while in JCE it was 166 in number.Since v r having very less mass companies in number HP should be made Mass......Thank U.
hi,we just have a doubt to be clarified.the thing is ppl wid 70+ will they cum (r will the compy ppl allow them to write for global)for global when they have a better option ie hp -stsd. so if that is the case is there anything that would prove to be good by making hp-global a mass !!!!!!

i agree dat makin hp a sec slot may waste a job(v cant say for sure)... but v ll hav to think bout ppl who din write mass companies n r aimin at sec slot n dream companies... if hp is made mass, they cant write hp also... lets think about them also...
itz better to make it as mass...coz..those who have aggre bn 60 n 65 have very less options...if hp become mass this would support them...

HP should be mass so tat the ppl in the range 60-65 wil get a chance....
placements are poor this time..... very poor. hence 60+ ppl must be given chance. THEY ARE ALSO STUDENTS OF THIS COLLEGE,,,,,, not just ppl with 70+ marks. that's why hp must be mass.
marks are relative, it can't promise brains with it ;)
according to me hp services should be made a mass company... coz ppl with 70+ aggre hav lots of oppurtunities waiting for them... 70+ aggre ppl wil again try to get into some dream company nd reject this.. but ppl with 60+ aggre hav less oppurtunity...
